Max Dosser

Max Dosser is a doctoral student in the Communication and Rhetoric program. After studying music and chemistry at Wake Forest University, he enrolled in a Communication MA program at Wake where he studied the genre of true crime and the rhetorical techniques its narrators use to construct truth. From here, he moved to Pitt where his research now focuses on the liminal and communicative aspects of television theme songs. His other research interests include music communication, narratology, children's media, science fiction communities, and the musical construction of disability in popular culture.
