April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month, marking the continuing problem of sexual violence and renewing commitments to support survivors.  Pitt's Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion sponsors a number of events including workshops for survivor support, bystander intervention, and self-defense training.  As part of the Wall of Support for survivors, OEDI has also created a video, "We Stand with Survivors," supporting survivors and encouraging them to seek asssistance and accommodations.

GSWS stands with survivors.  Our courses also address the structural power relations that put people (especially people of color, women and femmes, and people in the LGBTQIA+ community —categories that can overlap) specially at risk for sexual violence.
